AngloGold Ashanti Operations in Ghana

AngloGold Ashanti owns two gold mines in Ghana. The Iduapriem gold mine in Western Ghana has been wholly owned by AngloGold Ashanti since September 2007, comprising the Iduapriem and Teberebie properties on a 110km² concession.The company also operates at the Obuasi mine in the Ashanti region of Southern Ghana.[1]

The company sold their third operation at the Bibiani mine in December 2006.[2]

The company planned to to invest between $1.6 billion - $2.2billion annually between 2012-13 and to ramp up gold production from current output of 4.5 million ounces/year to 5.5 million ounces.[3]
