Azerbaijan exports gas to Russia via the Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed pipeline, whose capacity is 5 million cubic metres of gas per year.[1] The Azerbaijani section of the line is also known as 'Baku-Novo Filya'.

Under a contract covering the period 2010-2014, Azerbaijan is to annually supply gas amounting to no less than 500 million cubic metres to Russia.[2] From 2011 onwards, it was intended that 2 billion cubic metres would be exported via this route, for use in Russia's North Caucasus territories.[3]
